These soil moisture meters are perfect for anyone just starting out in gardening. I use them with my succulents and house plants and take the guess work out of watering. Just put the probe in the soil and you immediately know if it's time to water or wait. The pack of six means I can have one in each of my favourite pots, so I don't have to move them around. They work indoors and outdoors and the design is so simple that my roommates can even use them when I'm not home. The only small thing is they don't work well in super dry, compacted soil, you have to loosen it up a bit first.they’re good, cheap helpers to prevent my plants from getting overwatered.

These worked better than I expected for everyday plant care. I mainly got them for my indoor plants because I kept watering on a schedule instead of checking the actual soil condition, which caused a few leaves to turn yellow over time. After placing these in the pots, I started paying more attention to the moisture level instead of guessing. The visible color window is simple and does not require any learning curve. Blue means the soil still has moisture, and when it fades lighter, I know it is time to water soon. I appreciate that they stay in the soil full time instead of needing to poke a meter in repeatedly, especially for delicate roots and smaller succulent containers. The material feels lightweight but sturdy enough for regular use. I also like that the pack includes several pieces so I could place them in different pots around the patio and inside the house. The reaction time on first setup took a little patience, but after that they became pretty convenient. It makes caring for plants feel less random and more organized without adding extra work.

FAQ

How to use it correctly?

Simply insert the entire section below the Aquameter visual window into the soil. If the pot is shallower than the Aquameter, you can trim it to fit.

Why isn't the Aquameter changing color? Not working.

The first time you use it, allow about 30 minutes for capillary action to take effect. If it still hasn’t turned blue, it means your plant is currently dehydrated.

Do I need to insert and remove it every day to check?

To avoid damaging the roots, there is no need to repeatedly insert and remove the product. It is suitable for long-term monitoring.

Any restrictions on plants or soil unsuitable for use?

Avoid using on clay soils. Suitable for all plants.
